"Ever See You Again" is the first REALLY GOOD song I ever wrote and posted on Soundcloud (however the first demo, I was sick and I had no idea what 'Layers' were in GarageBand... so it was really bad). But eventually, I was able to re-record the song and here we are.
The song is Part 1 to Supernova since it's based on my friendship with someone in high school. We used to be best friends but soon fell apart due to study commitments that we rarely meet. At the same time, I was changing interest and persona that according to my friend, I was 'hardly recognisable'.
Due to this, we argued more frequently and we couldn't express how we felt.
This song is how I felt through out that time.
lyrics
V1:
Back when we were young
When life has just begun
With the silly mistakes that we have done
Its something we cling on
With the innocence as a way
To the things we used say
Hoping this wont fade away
Is now the struggles that we get through
Chorus:
Cuz it’s been a while
Since I last seen you smile
And that beating heart
Is now falling apart
And where are now the days
Where the smiles always stay
And now...
When can I ever see you again?
V2:
These days, I rarely see you
As the time flew by
And everytime we meet
There are tears falling down on your face
And sad part is
I can’t always be there for you
Chorus:
Cuz it’s been a while
Since I last seen you smile
And that beating heart
Is now falling apart
And where are now the days
Where the smiles always stay
And now...
When can I ever see you again?
Cuz it’s been a long time
With the struggles we have climbed
And the road that connects our two worlds
It’s fading away
And I beg on my knees
Asking you to stay here with me
And now...
I just want you to stay
Chorus:
Cuz it’s been a while
Since i last seen you smile
And that beating heart
Is now falling apart
And where are now the days
Where the smiles always stay
And now...
When can I ever see you again?
